I have co...I recognized those damn nuts right away! I have come to hate the Black Walnut. My neighbor has one and the squirrels are constantly planting them in my flower beds. By the time the young tree is seen the roots are so deep that a back hoe is needed to get them out. The squirrels are usually kind and also plant them under a red twig dogwood, or in the middle of a clump of ornamental grass so the entire plant must be dug and the root extracted from the mass. <br />Those hulls will not only stain what they touch but will retard the growth of any surrounding plants.
